After qualifying for the finals earlier this year, the PV Mimes earned the top prize in the Move Something Inspired 2 Dance Battle.
Members Mikel Willie, Willie Rhodes, Kevin Wilson, Ivan Butler, Dariante Edwards and Michael Preston, competed against nine other groups from around the country and won the grand prize of $10,000. As a part of their grand prize winnings, the group will be featured in a gospel conference in Philadelphia at a later date.
The PV Mimes have been a fixture on the PVAMU campus since 2004. The group performs at PVAMU and around the country each year. On February 9, 2013, the mimes will host a PV Mime Conference in the Memorial Student Center ballroom.
