All supervisors who have not attended SEO Supervisors’ Training since the Spring 2008 semester, must attend trainingprior to the start of the Fall 2008 semester. Departments who have not met this requirement will not be granted student employees during the Fall 2008 semester, until the training requirement has been satisfied. All supervisors may register online for training.
Departments may not proceed with the summer hiring process until a job announcement has been advertised on the Student Employment Website for at least five (5) business days.
All hiring paperwork should be submitted to the Student Employment Office at least five (5) business days prior to the student’s prospective date of hire.
All students must be enrolled for at least six (6) hours per session or enrolled for three (3) hours in Summer I and three (3) hours in Summer II to be to be processed for employment through the SEO.
All student employees will be required to undergo a criminal background check prior to employment. The hiring departments will be required to complete a Confidential Release Form prior to making an offer of employment. This form will need to be signed by the prospective student employee and routed to the Student Employment Office as a part of the student’s hiring packet.
Students who are enrolled in classes at least half time for Summer I only may work from June 1st, 2008- July 9th, 2008.
Students who are enrolled in classes at least half time for Summer II only may work from July 15th, 2008-August 8th 2008.
Students who are enrolled in classes for both Summer I and Summer II may work from June 1st 2008-August 8th, 2008.
FALL 2008
The Student Employment Office will begin accepting job announcements from departments for the Fall 2008 semester on July 15th 2008.
The Student Employment Office will begin posting job announcements on the SEO website for the Fall 2008 semester on August 15th, 2008.
The first day that student’s may be hired to begin working for the Fall 2008 semester is September 1, 2008.
