The College of Business at Prairie View A&M University has one full-time position available in the area of Marketing effective fall 2006. Both tenure-track and non-tenure track appointments will be considered for this position. Selected candidate will be responsible for teaching a combination of undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of Advertising, Personal Selling, Sales Management, Retailing and E-Commerce, Leadership and Ethics, and Entrepreneurship. Along with teaching responsibilities, the successful applicant is expected to engage in scholarship, service and student advising at levels considered appropriate for the position.
Commensurate with experience
For the tenure track position at Assistant/Associate Professor level, candidates must have a terminal degree in Marketing from an AACSB accredited University. However, ABDs who are at an advanced stage of dissertation may be considered at the Assistant Professor level. A minimum qualification for this position will entail an M. B. A. from an accredited University along with significant industry experience in a management position in the field of Marketing
Prior teaching experience at the college/university level.
For the tenure-track position candidates should have strong potential for quality research. Preference will be given to candidates with an established track record in publications, with an active research agenda. For the non-tenure track position The standard teaching load is 12 hours per semester. However, tenure-track faculty may be granted reduced teaching load (9 hours) in exchange for research works leading to publication. Salary is AACSB competitive.
