The Biology Department of PRAIRIE VIEW A&M UNIVERSITY strives to prepare its students for careers in the health professions. Many of our students, upon matriculation, enter medical schools, veterinary schools, dental schools, optometry schools, or pharmacy schools. The department also prepares its students to study medical technology, physical therapy, or occupational therapy. The department also allows students to have careers as physician assistants, dental assistants and health professional assistants. Those biology students not interested in continuing on to health professional school enter graduate studies, or become health educators.
