PrairieViewA&MUniversitySmallBusinessDevelopmentCenter (SBDC) serves existing and start-up business owners and entrepreneurs in Waller and GrimesCounties. The SBDC provides free consulting services to individuals who need help starting a new business as well as operating or expanding current business.
Services available to clients through the SBDC include:
Business plan preparation assistance
Loan packaging
Market research
Obtaining Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) certification
Training workshops for QuickBooks, web site development and other business applications.
The Prairie View A&M University SBDC is a business consulting and training center of the University of Houston Small Business Development Center Network. The UH SBDC Network serves 32 counties in Southeast Texas. The SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
