Summer Program

The Civil & Environmental Engineering Department offers the Summer Transportation Institute (STI) program typically during the month of June each year. STI is four-week resident program whose goal is to introduce promising 11^th and 12^th grade high school students to the transportation industry. Additionally, the program motivates and allows the students to participate in mathematics, science and technological enrichment activities that supplement and encourage college preparatory pursuits. This program is sponsored by the US Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration and is under the direction of Dr. Kommalapati.
