IDP is a profession-wide, comprehensive program that contributes to the development of competent architects who can provide exemplary architectural services.
The Architect Registration Examination (ARE):
One of the important means by which NCARB member boards and Canadian provincial licensing associations fulfill their mission to safeguard the public health, safety, and welfare is the registration of architects. Every individual may apply for registration as an architect. To become registered, a person must demonstrate that he or she is qualified to render architectural services by meeting established education, training, and examination standards.
The American Council for Construction Education (ACCE):
The mission of the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) is to be a leading global advocate of quality construction education programs and to promote, support, and accredit quality construction education programs. Through promotion and continued improvement of post secondary construction education, ACCE accredits construction education programs in colleges and universities that request its evaluation and meet its standards and criteria. ACCE is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as the accrediting agency for four year baccalaureate degree programs in construction, construction science, construction management, and construction technology, and as the accrediting agency for two year associate-degree programs of a like nature.
