The Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships have prepared the following list for information purposes.

Scholarship Department Criteria
Chevron Products Comp. Chemical Engineer Chemical Engineering
  • Engineering or Earth Science majors
  • 3.5 GPA
  • Must participate in Internships that forward technical efforts
CITGO Scholarship Fund Chemical Engineering
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent U.S. Resident
  • Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering majors
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • 60 minimum semester hours
  • Must be interested in the petrochemical field
  • Must not have other corporate petrochemical support
  • Completed the THEA requirements
Marathon Oil Scholarship Chemical Engineering
  • Full-time Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors
  • Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Geological Engineering majors
  • 2.8 GPA
  • Freshmen: may be considered with a High School 3.0 cumulative GPA
Jim Boyce Memorial Scholarship Civil Engineering
  • U.S. Citizen (Texas resident)
  • Architecture, Civil Engineering or Interior Design majors
  • 2.5 minimum GPA (Must be in good standing and provide certified copy of GPA for application)
  • Demonstrate some experience as well as an active and career interest in accessibility/universal design.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grant Scholarship Civil Engineering
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent U.S. Resident
  • Full-time Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors
  • Engineering or Science majors
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Must sign a service agreement to: maintain GPA requirement; work in the nuclear energy field for 6 months every year of grant support received (summer Internship with NRC or other agencies related to nuclear field and submit a written report and must complete essay, sign agreement and reference letters)

  • Must participate in Shell interview process and agree to commit to a Shell Oil Company Internship if an internship position is by Shell Oil
