The Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships have prepared the following list for information purposes.

Scholarship Department Criteria
Beaumont, Prairie View Alumni Association  
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Graduating seniors who live in and attended in Beaumont
  • 2.5 GPA
  • 12 cumulative semester hours
Clemmie S. Vincent Endowed Scholarship  
  • Full-time
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Need based
DC Leveraging Education Assistance  
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent U.S. Resident
  • Half-time (must be enrolled for a full academic year)
  • Must be an established District of Columbia resident for at least 18 months prior to filing the LEAP application
DC Tuition Assistance Grant Program  
  • U.S. Citizen or eligible Non-Citizen
  • Must have resided in the District of Columbia at least 12 months prior to enrolling in college within 3 years of High School graduation (or GED completion)
  • Must have graduated from High School (or earned a GED) on or after January 1, 1988
General Motors Scholarship  
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
Gladys Nickerson Memorial Scholarship Fund Career Services
  • 2.7 minimum GPA
  • Parents must be paid members of the Parents Association
  • Must show proof of emergency travel need
Hattie Olivette Jackson Higgs Scholarship  
  • Sophomores, Juniors or Senior
  • 3.0 minimum GPA

  • Must be in Army - ROTC
  • 3.3 minimum GPA
  • 30 cumulative semester hours
  • Parents, Grand parents or Great-Grand parents must be graduates of PVAMU
Letha Mae Alexander Endowment  
  • Must be from Lubbock ISD
  • Need based
Los Angeles PV Alumni Endowment  
  • 2.5 minimum GPA
  • Need based
  • No criminal record
NCAO National Defense Foundation  
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Must be enrolled in ROTC (and child of an enlisted member or former enlisted member of the U. S. Armed Forces or U.S. Coast Guard)
Save A Student Scholarship  
  • 2.0 GPA (must not have a F or W in the prior 2 semesters)
  • Need based
Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Programs  
  • U.S. Citizen
  • 3.2 minimum GPA
  • Must complete application available here.
W. T. Dennis, Jr. Scholarship Fund  
  • Full-time
  • 2.5 minimum GPA
Wal-Mart Competitive Scholarship  
  • Full-time (must be first to attend college)
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Must write an essay entitled: "What does it mean to be the first in your family to attain a college degree? How will an award from the Thurgood Marshall College Fund/Wal-Mart Foundation help make a difference in completing your degree?"
You Scholarship Career Services
  • Must be a Texas resident
  • Good academic standing
  • Need based
  • Must write a 500 word essay entitled: "Why I need the Y.O.U. Scholarship and how it will help me?"
