Kierra Anderson is a junior majoring in Management Information System. Her matriculation at PVAMU has provided a great learning experience and knowledge that will never be forgotten. Education is very important to Kierra, as she understands that knowledge really is powerful! With the assistance from her fellow Panthers, advisors and professors, she has been able to reach her academic goals. Kierra delights in helping others and is privileged to give back; thus, impacting lives on and off campus. Kierra will provide tutoring in Accounting, Physical Science and

Braden Darville is a senior majoring in Psychology. She is a recipient of the Prairie View A&M Presidential Scholarship. Braden's original choice for a degree was in the area of Sociology. However, she quickly recognized that her strengths of helping people and being a good listener were a better fit for Psychology. She is very happy she made the change. Braden will provide tutoring in Psychology, Spanish I&II, English and Physical Science.
Chinasa Echerenwa is a junior Chemical Engineering major. Chinasa believes that every day is a lesson learned! She sees all of life's encounters as opportunities to make improvements that will assist her in becoming a better student and a better person. Being able to help someone else is part of that improvement. She is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, the Lead Mentor at S.E.E.K (Summer Engineering Experience for Kids), and an academic tutor for Welch Middle School in Houston, TX. Chinasa will provide tutoring in Calculus I & II, Differential Equations I, Materials Science, Thermodynamics, and Statics & Dynamics.
Enthusiastic, diligent, and cooperative describe Ebere Ekenna’s contributions both in and out of her classroom. She believes that success in one area of life can lead to success in others and that hard work and perseverance pay dividends with all of life’s endeavors. Ebere is classified as a junior pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. She has a big space in her heart for mathematics and physics. She hopes to help in creating a positive environment where people can be encouraged to expand their knowledge in various subjects. Ebere will provide tutoring in College Algebra, Calculus I & II and History.
Ariel Hall is a senior Criminal Justice major with a minor in Military Science. She is a member the PVAMU ROTC and officer of Alpha Phi Sigma. Outside of campus, Ariel is a member of The United States National Guard and The City of Prairie View Fire Department. Excited about embarking on her journey as a tutor, she is honored to have the opportunity to help others. Ariel believes the student that seeks help from a tutor is not weak; rather, it signifies their strength & maturity to take responsibility for their learning. Ariel will provide tutoring in History and Government.
Lerato Ndlovu is a senior majoring in Accounting. Lerato recently completed an internship with the Physical Plant Administration here at PVAMU. During her internship, she was able to use her accounting skills by assisting with month-end financial analysis, reviewing earning reports, and identifying exceptions and problems affecting accounting records. Lerato has a list of campus and community achievements that include University Honor Roll, College of Business Dean’s List, Captain of the Women’s Tennis Team, Higher Achiever Award, and Coin Drive Volunteer for School Supplies. Lerato will provide tutoring in Accounting, College Algebra, Economics, Management, Biology, Business Communications and Finance.
Michaela Puryear is a senior Psychology major with a minor in Spanish. I have managed to keep a high GPA but not on my own. In my freshman year during college algebra I struggled. I quickly realized that I would not be successful on my own. Therefore, I began seeing a math tutor twice a week, especially before tests, and was able to make an “A” by the end of the semester. Sometimes it is hard and requires commitment of your time, but seeking help does make a difference and there are so many people who want to assist you in succeeding. You just have to take advantage of the services offered. Michaela will provide tutoring in Spanish I-IV, Anatomy & Physiology, Biology and Psychology.
Aravia White is a senior majoring in Criminal Justice. Aravia has done extensive volunteer work on and off campus. She has worked with the City of Austin recreational center and as an intern for The Office of Homeland Security Emergency Management in Harris County and Austin, TX. She is a past member of the Panther Advisor Leader organization. Currently, she is the treasurer for the Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society and is also a member of the national Society of Collegiate Scholars. Aravia will provide tutoring History, Government and Freshman Composition.
Courtney White is a senior majoring in Biology. Courtney currently holds memberships in several organizations: The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Minority Association of Pre-Health Students, Student Government Association, and Beta, Beta, Beta Honor Society. Giving back is very important to Courtney. She is a frequent volunteer of the following activities: visiting nursing homes, organizing events to help the homeless, campus clean-up, Toys for Tots, Tour de Pink, Relay for Life, and Healthy Halloween Program for elementary school students. Courtney recently participated in “The Ghana Experience 2012”. Courtney will provide tutoring in Biology, College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Elementary & Statistics.
Roneisha Williams is a junior majoring in Biology. She is Co-Founder & VP of H.A.L.O., an organization that places emphasis on helping others. H.A.L.O. (Helpers Advancing the Lives of Others) was birthed from her having to provide care & encouragement to her grandmother when she was ill. She realized then, that helping others was something she wanted to dedicate her life to. She believes that PVAMU does an excellent job when it comes to reaching out and helping students become productive panthers. Her personal motto is that if you have the right tools and are dedicated to working hard, anything is possible! Roneisha will provide tutoring in Biology, College Algebra, Trigonometry and Spanish I & II.
Dezaree’ Lusk is a sophomore majoring in Social Work. She recently decided to add a minor in Spanish to her degree plan. As a licensed cosmetologist, she has been extensively involved in volunteer work since the age of 13. Dezaree’ is a part of the cheer team at PVAMU and has managed to maintain an excellent GPA while doing so. Dezaree’ will provide tutoring in math courses, (ranging from Basic Math to College Algebra) and Biology.
