MSN - Nursing Administration
The Master of Science in Nursing degree with a concentration in nursing administration prepares nurses to serve in a variety of leadership and managerial roles within the health care delivery system. The nursing administration track requires students to complete the MSN program core courses (14 SCH), 12 credits in nursing administration and 9 credit hours of electives in graduate level business courses or health informatics. Business courses provide the student the opportunity to learn business skills that further enhance their administrative backgrounds where health informatics courses provide background in the area of informatics. The student completes 6 credit hours of either a thesis or non-thesis research option. The course of study prepares nurses to take the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s basic certification examination for Nurse Administrators.
