Virtual Private Network (VPN)

A VPN allows users to connect a non-secure network to an existing network via a "tunnel." When activated, the VPN provides a secure connection between networks.

A VPN will allow PVAMU staff and faculty to log on to the PVAMU network from a home PC. The user will be able to access network drives and have full e-mail access, just as if they were logged on at work.
