Joint Admissions (JA):

Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) and Lone Star College System (LSCS) have entered into a Joint Admissions Program Agreement (JA) that will become effective for the 2008 fall semester. It will allow students enrolled at (LSCCS) to register on site for specific (PVAMU) Courses. Students will need to meet the necessary requirements at both schools and pay fees according to the number of hours they are enrolled. They will be able to earn credits towards their LSCCS associates degree and PVAMU bachelor’s degree at the same time. A student will be able to make a seamless transfer to an accredited four year program, and maximize community college transfer credits (maximum of 72 semester hours). PVAMU academic advisors will be available at the Cy-Fair Campus on a weekly basis to provide general guidance and academic support. Those enrolled in the JA Program can declare a major in the bachelor’s programs offered under the Joint Admissions Agreement at PVAMU (Management, Finance and MIS) immediately after meeting the admission requirements. As part of the program, the PVAMU courses will be delivered on-site at the Cy-Fair campus over the weekends.
