PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (March 6, 2025) – Prairie View A&M University is proud to announce two distinguished speakers for its 143rd Spring Commencement Convocation, set to take place over two days, May 16 and 17, at the William “Billy” J. Nicks, Sr. Building (Baby Dome).

Friday, May 16 – Dr. Quintin B. Bullock
Dr. Quintin B. Bullock, the ninth president of the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC), will address doctoral and master’s degree candidates at the 6 p.m. ceremony on Friday, May 16. A dedicated leader in higher education, Dr. Bullock has over a decade of experience at CCAC, where he has spearheaded strategic growth, launched workforce training programs, and secured millions in funding to enhance student success. A proud Prairie View A&M University alumnus, Dr. Bullock holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in science and education from PVAMU, along with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center.

Renowned sports journalist and media personality Bomani Jones will take the stage as the commencement speaker for both undergraduate ceremonies on Saturday, May 17. The host of The Right Time with Bomani Jones podcast, Jones is celebrated for his insightful commentary on sports, music, culture, and politics. His career spans multiple platforms, including ESPN, HBO, Vanity Fair, and GQ. Jones holds degrees from Clark Atlanta University, Claremont Graduate University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
