Kim GayMarch 30 – Kimberly Gay serves as PVAMU’s Head of the Reference and Information Services Department. But she’s also the recipient of a prestigious award from the United States Agricultural Information Network (USAIN). The designation honors agricultural/science librarians who represent Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) at land grant universities. Gay has worked at the university as an Agricultural Librarian for 14 years and is devoted to showing the importance of Agricultural Education and how to preserve and transmit agriculture resources to a global society collectively. Gay will receive the award in 2021; she’s the first HBCU Librarian to receive this award.
