The numbers are from a recent oral health study conducted on Prairie View A&M University’s main campus. Participants stopped by an information booth where more than 30 students completed an interest form, and 20 eligible students enrolled in the study. Prairie View A&M University’s Wellness in Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center teamed up to recruit African American male students for an oral health survey during a Humpday Event on “The Hill.” The study aims to provide insight that will aid in treating and teaching wellness to the communities that MD Anderson serves.

The second phase of the study is expected to begin in November. Please contact Whitney Mack for more details if you or anyone you know may be interested in participating.

Students who enrolled received a $25 gift card for their time.
