The Office of Research and Graduate Studies welcomes Dr. Ramaswamy (“Krish”) Krishnamoorthi as its Director of Research Services. Dr. Krish comes to PVAMU from Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS. Dr. Krish earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California-Davis in 1983. He completed post-doctoral work at Purdue University and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Krish started his academic career at Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS in 1986. He has had extensive experience in undergraduate and graduate education, including academic advising and student learning outcome assessment. He has guided graduate and post-doctoral research associates in the area of structural biology with grant support from NIH, NSF, USDA, American Chemical Society, and American Heart Association over the years, resulting in more than 45 peer-reviewed publications. He has served on the NIH and NSF review panels.
Dr. Krish will contribute to the efforts of Dr. Cajetan Akujuobi, the Vice President of Research and Dean of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Christopher Liu, the Associate Vice President for Research, in facilitating expansion and support of research activity in all disciplines. Dr. Krish is excited to be part of the PVAMU community.
