The Prairie View A&M University Police Department will be hosting the 24-Hour Sexual Assault Family Violence Investigator (SAFVIC) Course from Wednesday, July 5, 2023, through Friday, July 7, 2023. Class time will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This course is Free however, you must register to attend.

SAFVIC is a comprehensive law enforcement training program. The curriculum was developed with the assistance of experts from law enforcement, prosecution, and victim services. The course covers crucial aspects of law enforcement’s response to sexual assault and family violence crimes and encourages the use of community-based resources to assist law enforcement’s efforts. SAFVIC uses a network of certified trainers to deliver this training on a regional basis, which allows us to bring this free course to your area.

Special Instructions:

Attendees must provide their PID # to receive TCOLE credit for this course.  UPD Training Division requires proper business casual attire to promote a professional environment. T-shirts, shorts, capri pants, and flip-flops are prohibited.

Participants will receive 24 TCOLE hours for taking this course.

 Parking for training attendees is available next door to the University Police Department in the Panther Plaza. Training attendees are not to park in the Police Department Parking Lot.
